Company to Provide Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Maintenance and Repair Services in Support of Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Center, National Institute of Health, Bethesda  

 

Washington, DC. Sept. 27, 2011

  Complete Building Services (CBS) a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Donohoe Companies Inc., announced today it was re-awarded the prime contract by the U.S. General Services Administration to provide Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) full life-cycle Operations, Maintenance, Repair and Replacement services in support of the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Center, National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda MD. NIH is the medical research agency of the U.S. government and part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).  The single-award contract has a one-year base period of performance and four one-year options.

  The 1M square-feet 24/7 mission critical Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center facility, named in honor of Senator Mark O. Hatfield of Oregon, houses approximately 240 inpatient units, 82 day-hospital stations, NIH research laboratories, vivarium and general office spaces.  The ClinicalCenter is the nation’s largest hospital devoted to innovative clinical research studies to discover better ways to treat, prevent, diagnose and understand human disease.  The ClinicalCenter also serves the dual role of providing an environment for both humane and healing patient care and the advancement of clinical science.
